Tary Arterburn, Chip Impastato, Mike Fraze, and Bill Millsap formed Studio Outside in 2010, a landscape architectural practice that thrives on the challenge of projects that demand a comprehensive intellectual, artistic and collaborative design process.

Studio Outside is based in Dallas with significant commissions across Texas and the United States. With a significant experience in the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Asia, our project knowledge is both deep and wide.

Our passion for design drives us to pursue projects that require original thought and intense detailing. We draw upon years of experience with many cultures and a wide diversity of construction techniques. We aspire to design places that demand a thoughtful and refined aesthetic while also incorporating sensitivity and intrigue for the human experience.
