Mr. Monge, a licensed architect, has 25 years of experience in the design and management of international corporate projects. He started his career in 1981 at DEGW, were he participated in projects for corporations like Reader's Digest in Mexico and AMEX in London and Brighton. In 1989 he founded DEGW Spain where he was managing partner until 1995. There, he lead projects for Microsoft, Walt Disney, and other Fortune 500 Companies, managing multidisciplinary project teams on corporate interiors projects. Mr. Monge also participated in the design of business parks including San Fernando and La Marina, coordinating round tables with Mario Bellini (Studio Bellini), Thomas Beucker (BHlM), John Worthington (DEGW), and David Nelson (Foster Associates). Mr. Monge was also involved in the Wedding Technology Park project in Berlin, for which DEGW won the first award from the Berlin Senate.
In 1995 he founded Habitum, a firm specializing in corporate architecture with a strong focus on the responsible use of natural, human, and financial resources. As Habitum's managing principal, Mr. Monge won several architectural competitions, including awards for Wal-Mart's corporate building in Mexico City and Samsung's headquarters in Tultitlan. He provided project management services for Ford in Santa Fe, ING offices in Mexico City, and other corporate, residential, and housing development projects.
