This new 44-acre corporate campus for Bank OZK is located in west Little Rock, just south of the Arkansas River. Studio Outside provided a design study that brings coherence to a diverse program. The askew angle slicing the site serves as an organizing element in its various manifestations for the ceremonial entry drive, angled wall through the airy building atrium, and the pedestrian promenade on the north side. The naturalized amenity and detention ponds to the east provide reflections of the water to accentuate the building’s contemporary form. Inspired by the dramatic entry design, the client commissioned a pair of 40’ bronze sculptures of water spirits within the entry motor court as a focal point. 

The north side offers relaxed pedestrian amenities for modern-day corporate employees. The promenade includes outdoor seating rooms with views of the pond and terminates with the delicate art piece “Serenity,” complementing the highly refined white pavilion. The open lawn and pavilion are sized to accommodate corporate and community events, while intensive native plantings distill the spirit of the adjacent ecosystems and the nearby Arkansas River.
