Studio Outside was engaged by a large faith-based community located in Dallas, Texas, to help envision a future expansion of their campus. The development focuses on outdoor amenity spaces to provide additional usable outdoor spaces as a way to unite the campus buildings together. The church currently has beautiful and heavily used outdoor areas adjacent to its main workshop space. As the church has grown over time, they have acquired existing buildings that have redefined the campus boundary. Studio Outside proposed design solutions for various outdoor gathering areas that are centered around a large open lawn for multiuse programming and passive play. The lawn is surrounded by smaller, intimate gathering spaces made up of gardens, walkways, and seating. By utilizing the existing grade, Studio Outside designed amphitheater seating around the lawn for large outdoor events.
