Harold Simmons Park
Connectivity & Mobility Planning
Dallas, Texas
The guiding vision of the Harold Simmons Park Connectivity and Mobility Planning is to explore the possibility of a network of experiences, with Harold Simmons Park at the center, that does not allow us to perpetuate patterns of division and exclusion that for generations have been built into the infrastructure and planning of the City of Dallas. A network of twelve corridors links people and neighborhoods to the Park and strengthens neighborhood resources using the Park to support existing community plans. Considering pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and ecological connectivity, the plan represents a holistic approach to physical connectivity, supported by robust policy recommendations.
