renaissance park
dallas, Texas

Renaissance Park is the first project of the Five Mile Creek Urban Greenbelt Master Plan and an important step to build park access for all residents of South Oak Cliff. Linking the Cedar Crest Trail to Overton Rd. and South Oak Cliff High School, this 1.8-acre park is focused on neighborhood and environmental health. Gathering spaces, play areas, exercise equipment, an event lawn, and a basketball court build the program spaces along a trail and overlook along the restored Alice Branch Creek. Unique park features include a climbing wall funded through The North Face’s “Walls are Meant for Climbing” program and rain gardens to clean stormwater and decrease the impacts of urban flooding.
