Deep Ellum Vision Plan
Dallas, Texas
This year-long pro-bono initiative focuses on green infrastructure and open space opportunities within Deep Ellum. This unique 300 acre mixed-use district is rich in cultural history and is sited directly adjacent to Downtown Dallas. Much like the rest of the urban core, it is experiencing rapid growth, re-investment and development. Public engagement was integral to our process, and our team collaborated closely with various members of the community, gathering ideas and identifying the potential areas for improvement. Our main goals are to highlight areas of opportunity, give the community a tool that lends a visual form to their ideas, and offer an obtainable vision for a changing neighborhood. Starting with a few key questions and a couple conversations, this study has resulted in an ‘idea book’, designed to aid in future real estate and public space development for the neighborhood of Deep Ellum.
