LISA CASEY
ASLA, LEED AP
—
Principal
Lisa Casey, has worked in nearly every facet of the profession across many project types. From initial contact and business development through design and construction document production to construction observation, she brings an ability to connect with clients, consultants, stakeholders, and the design team. Clear communication is a hallmark of her work approach.
Her design approach starts with close observation of site and surrounding context. Her inspiration is existing context, direction from the client, and extensive travel and sketching experience. During her travel, which includes visiting cities and landscapes on the East and West Coasts as well as Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, she will bring and usually fill an entire sketchbook. She has also participated in ASLA’s annual sketchcrawls in Boston, Denver, Chicago, and New Orleans. Her curiosity provides a wellspring of references and knowledge that supports creative solutions tailored to each individual site.
Lisa’s projects include the Lillian and Vanderbilt Pedestrian Malls at Tarleton State University, Downtown Dallas Wayfinding System Update, Carrollton’s Town Square, and McKinney’s Gabe Nesbitt Park Master Plan Update. Lisa received the Kay Tiller Chapter Service Award in 2016 for her work with the state ASLA chapter. When not in the office, she enjoys hiking, indoor rock climbing, and a book with a latte at a coffee shop.
