PS1200
Fort Worth, Texas
Created from vernacular and reclaimed materials used in unexpected ways, PS1200 brings a mix of retail, residential units, and offices to the Near Southside neighborhood in Fort Worth. The buildings borrow the language of a Quonset hut but also playfully mimic the iconic architecture of the Kimbell Art Museum.
The development has eight residential buildings, three offices, and two retail storefronts, including a vegan restaurant, ice cream, and donut shop. At the center of the development is a grove of trees that is open to the public to enjoy, find a place to rest, and gather with friends. The spaces between the buildings provide small gardens and a shared stoop for residents and the public to enjoy together. The project development team is led by Prince Concepts, with architecture by Marlon Blackwell Architects and landscape architecture by D.I.R.T. Studio and Studio Outside.
