Riparian Park at Circle T Ranch
Westlake, Texas
The Circle T Riparian Park is a long-term vision plan to restore the 170-acre property with a natural stream flowing through one of the most scenic landscapes in North Texas. This project is part of the 2,500-acre mixed-use development master plan that Studio Outside designed for the client. The park will preserve its Eastern Cross Timbers ecosystem by removing non-native plants while seeding native vegetation to promote greater plant diversity and rehabilitation of soils. The park will be connected by a trail system that leads visitors to engage with the stream, vantage points in the landscape, and varying program elements. Preserving the woodland coverage with open prairies will maintain the site’s historic rural and ranch character, allowing visitors to experience the trails and open spaces winding through prairies and ranch lands with roaming cattle.
