Preston Hollow Village
Dallas, Texas
Preston Hollow Village is a multi-phase project that Studio Outside has been working on for several years with development partners Provident Realty Advisors. Sitting in the heart of Dallas along Central Hwy 75, the retail, entertainment, and urban living phases offer unique dining and living opportunities in an environment tailored to casual walking and shopping.
Phase three of the project includes a new residential district to sit adjacent to the already popular retail and entertainment area, “The Signature Collection at Preston Hollow Village.” This 7.5-acre development will offer three types of homes within a specially designed pedestrian-centered development. The courtyard is designed to be a ceremonial front door to each of the homes containing small gardens, seating, shade trees, and focal points of art.
Studio Outside designed a collection of screening and retaining walls, fences, and planting to complement each other in materiality and unify the development. The main street is carefully articulated to include street trees, planting, and lighting to allow for pedestrian comfort and a walkable community. At the main entrance, a sequence of trees, decorative blade walls, and art feature welcome visitors and homeowners into the development and suggests the thoughtful intention to the design of the community.
