As the main retail destination in the area, the Shops at South Town is undergoing a major transformation. As part of Sandy’s City Center development project, ‘The Cairns’, the mall project has taken an outdated 30 year old mall and revitalized it into a 21st century shopping and entertainment destination. Extensive renovations to the building facade and interior along with the landscape of the larger surrounded site are the highlight. Native plants dominate the palette of landscape materials along with low water use plants to complete a thoughtful solution to the dry mountain environment of northern Utah.
